Beloved Bailey-Boy

Sad, but our boy has had to leave us......

When we came back from our French holiday he came home from his kennels a different dog. He had un-learned most of what we had taught him and was jumping like a flea.

Our first day back at work our neighbour had to lock him in his crate as he had escaped. We fixed the gap and left him again the following day. As we left to go to work we watched in horror as he seemed to attempt to rip the gate off. He had clearly been used to having attention whenever he wanted it, and that couldn't happen here.

We were working very long hours and leaving him in his crate for that amount of time was not feasible. What to do?

Enter Josh. A 5 year old living in Salisbury with special needs. He and Bailey met and it was like Romeo and Juliet. All in slo-mo......Soppy music, the lot.....We felt he had met the love of his life, that we had merely been fostering him until he met Josh. The two of them are inseperable.

We keep in touch and visit, although that breaks my heart all over again.

The main thing is that Bailey is happy.

And he clearly is.

New Kits on the Blog

Eeuww - so sorry about the pun there.....But the kitties are getting the spotlight here....

They are definitely pets.

They are loved.

They are pampered.

They are amusing, cuddly, cute and adorable.

They are staying.

You're Back!!!

I lost you and now I have found you again. Yay!

My PC died rather spectacularly and DH bought me a new one :-) BUT

I have only just got around to replacing things I lost. I knew there was something MAJOR missing and that would be this. I googled myself (not to be recommended for the faint hearted) and found links to my personal pictures, but not my blog. DH to the rescuw again - isn't it in your favourites? When he did whatever he did to rescue as much info from the old PC as poss he kept my internet favourites in a file marked 'Favourites'. Ta-da there it was.

So I am back.

With a vengeance.

And news.

Sam and Ella

We have a mouse issue.
We needed a cat.
Purely to tackle the mice.
Not as a pet.
Steve finally agreed.
We sourced a little black boy and decided to call him Sam.
But then we met his sisters.
And Ella came home with him too.
Sam is a wuss.
Ella is a lady.
Even Steve has been seen cuddling and photogrpahing them.
Here less than 24 hours..............................................................................................................................................................                                                                                     And they are pets.

France

10 days in the South of France.
A small village called Pennautier just outside of Carcassonne.
A modern villa with a pool.
My idea of bliss.
Floating.
Flying is pretty good too.
From up there people and their problems are insignificant.
A good reminder of The Big Picture.
Now suffering post-holiday blues.
Wish it was this time 2 weeks ago................
